Job Description
The Analyst Associate Consultant at E3 conducts research, evaluation, and modeling to support energy policy, market strategies, and stakeholder analysis, contributing to high-impact projects focused on clean energy and climate transition within a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and evaluation to support project delivery under senior team members' guidance
- Assist in developing and refining in-house forecasting models
- Quantify market strategies and study market portfolios
- Benchmark industry standards and develop policy and market overviews
- Contribute to projects related to climate pathways, electrification, asset valuation, transmission, markets, and system planning
- Support the analysis of stakeholder needs and inform customer strategies
Requirements
- Possess a strong academic record and prior experience specifically addressing renewable energy and climate change issues.
- Demonstrate a commitment to achieving a transition to a low-carbon economy and have an interest in the future of energy.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills and/or policy experience relevant to energy issues.
- Be able to work collaboratively and help each team member to perform their best, recognizing diverse experiences and qualifications.
- Have the ability to translate technical concepts to a broader audience.
- Take ownership of work by actively seeking answers to questions and finding creative solutions to issues encountered.
- Be willing to conduct research and evaluation to support customer work under the direction of senior team members.
- Contribute to in-house forecasting models, quantify market strategies, study market portfolios and stakeholder needs, benchmark industry standards, and develop policy and market overviews.
- Be available to work full-time hours in a hybrid and flexible work environment, including extended hours in front of a computer screen and conducting meetings via telephone and virtual platforms.
- Be able to work in an office location in San Francisco, Boston, New York, or Calgary, with the ability to travel 0-5% as required.
- Be prepared to participate in a structured hiring process including a phone interview, technical exercise, and final interviews, with a timeline of approximately 6-8 weeks.
