Job Description
The Analyst Associate Consultant at E3 conducts research and analysis on energy and climate policy issues, supports project delivery through modeling and evaluation, and collaborates with team members to develop strategic solutions in the clean energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and evaluation to support customer projects
- Assist in developing and refining forecasting models and quantifying market strategies
- Study market portfolios, stakeholder needs, and industry standards
- Develop policy and market overviews to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to high-profile energy projects
Requirements
- A strong academic record and prior experience specifically addressing renewable energy and climate change issues are desired.
- Proven organizational techniques that help create and actualize work plans that are efficient while delivering an elevated level of guidance to serve customers.
- Ability to work in a hybrid and flexible work environment that adapts to changing needs of projects, including working for extended hours in front of a computer screen and conducting meetings on the telephone and virtually.
- Willingness to work full-time hours, with the position being either exempt or non-exempt depending on level of work experience.
- Ability to contribute to research and evaluation to aid the delivery of customer work under the direction of senior-level team members, including assisting with in-house forecasting models, quantifying market strategies, studying market portfolios and stakeholder needs, benchmarking industry standards, and developing policy and market overviews.
- Ability to work collaboratively and help each team member to do their optimum work, recognizing that each member brings different experiences, techniques, and qualifications.
- Ability to clearly present technical and policy information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Ownership of work, actively seeking answers to questions, and finding creative solutions to issues encountered.
- Ability to immediately assist project work to inform customer strategies as a recent graduate or entry-level professional.
- Willingness to participate in a structured onboarding process, including a multi-week industry-specific training program and ongoing professional development activities.
- Ability to participate in the hiring process, including phone interviews, technical exercises, and multiple interview rounds, with the understanding that the process takes approximately 6-8 weeks.
- Legal authorization to work in the office locations (San Francisco, Boston, New York, or Calgary) without requiring sponsorship.
- Ability to travel 0-5% as needed for project or client meetings.
