Job Description

The role involves managing and optimizing Planet's intern and early talent programs, overseeing end-to-end recruitment operations, process improvements, and system configurations to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring lifecycle in a fast-growing, innovative space and data company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee Planet's intern and early talent program from requisition to offboarding.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers and candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
  • Support and improve the talent operations processes, including workflow redesign and automation.
  • Maintain and optimize applicant tracking system workflows and configurations related to intern hiring and operational reporting.
  • Monitor operational metrics, ensure compliance, and address risks to keep processes on track.
  • Create and update process documentation, playbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on intern onboarding, compliance, and program content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of professional experience in recruiting operations, talent operations, HR operations, or program coordination at a technology company or similarly dynamic environment
  • Experience managing or supporting an intern, early talent, or campus recruiting program including the logistics, stakeholder communication, and coordination required to run a multi-department cohort program smoothly
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, including data entry, workflow navigation, reporting, and basic configuration
  • Effective project management skills to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, track deliverables and deadlines, and communicate progress to stakeholders without being micromanaged
  • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure high-volume, high-precision recruiting operations, where small errors can cause downstream problems
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to draft process documentation, communicate with hiring managers, and correspond with intern candidates
  • A process improvement mindset to question whether current processes are optimal, identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and manual steps that could be automated or eliminated
  • Ability to work in a team actively building and improving infrastructure within the Talent Operations function
