Job Description

A consulting internship at E3 Energy and Environmental Economics, Inc. offers students the opportunity to work on emerging energy topics in a professional environment, contributing to active projects and developing research deliverables in the electric power industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on emerging energy topics alongside industry experts
  • Contribute to active E3 projects
  • Develop research deliverables for future research, publications, and applications

Requirements

  • Candidates must be top students graduating within the year of application, with a minimum commitment of 8-12 weeks in a full-time capacity.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed studies in disciplines such as science, engineering, economics, business, public policy, or related fields.
  • Candidates must have relevant work experience and demonstrate enthusiasm for their topics and academic excellence.
  • Candidates must be able to work during E3's regular business hours, which are 9 am to 6 pm, and be available to work at least 3 days per week from the office.
  • Candidates must be able to work for extended hours in front of a computer screen and conduct meetings on the telephone and virtually.
  • Candidates must submit a resume, a writing sample, a list of at least one faculty reference with name, position, phone, and email, an unofficial transcript, and completed interview questions as part of the application process.
  • Candidates must be able to participate in the virtual hiring process, including initial resume review, phone screen, and final interview with a senior staff member.
  • Candidates must be available for interviews scheduled between October and December, with decisions made in February.
  • Candidates must be able to work in a hybrid or flexible work environment, with the ability to work from one of the specified office locations (San Francisco, New York City, or Boston) or remotely, as applicable.
