Job Description
The role involves leading and scaling a mobile engineering team focused on developing and expanding DroneDeploy's iOS and Android applications, with an emphasis on delivery efficiency, team growth, and technical innovation in field analysis and augmented reality features.
Key Responsibilities
- Scale and lead a bi-platform iOS and Android engineering team to execute complex projects.
- Oversee team performance, growth, and delivery of mobile applications.
- Expand and enhance the flagship iOS app with in-field analysis and augmented reality features.
- Build and develop the new Android capture app from the ground up.
- Ensure delivery efficiency and maintain team health through coaching and leadership.
Requirements
- Experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, with responsibility for team performance, growth, and delivery.
- Proven ability to scale and execute complex projects involving bi-platform iOS and Android applications.
- Strong focus on delivery efficiency, team health, and coaching of team members.
- Experience in expanding and building mobile applications, specifically with in-field analysis and augmented reality (AR) features.
- Experience in building and developing new Android capture applications from the ground up.
- Ability to work effectively in a completely remote work environment.
- Availability to work within core hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, based on the local time zone, with necessary flexibility.
- Willingness to travel up to 10 days domestically for team on-site meetings and company events.
- Knowledge of information security policies and procedures to protect company and customer data.
