Job Description
A paid 12-week internship supporting the Project Development team at Cypress Creek Renewables, where interns will assist with solar and storage project lifecycle activities, perform due diligence, collaborate with various stakeholders, and gain hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform due diligence on greenfield development and project acquisition opportunities, including analysis of queue positions, transmission rights, regulatory permitting, and development statuses
- Support the project development lifecycle through collaboration with utilities, municipalities, environmental professionals, legal counsel, engineers, and external EPCs
- Streamline and automate development team processes to improve efficiency
Requirements
- Must be a rising senior, currently a junior in college, and after this summer will be going into your senior year.
- Demonstrated interest to work in clean energy sector post college.
- Preferably have had 1 prior internship experience, but it is acceptable if not in clean energy or clean tech.
- Strong analytical, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
- Creative problem-solving ability.
- Ability to collaborate between multiple departments with varying priorities.
