Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst supports corporate finance and FP&A functions by conducting financial analysis, preparing forecasts, and automating processes, providing exposure to various aspects of the solar industry through collaboration with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Support corporate finance and FP&A efforts through cash planning, financial analysis, and process automation
- Prepare monthly cash and GAAP forecasts and communicate findings to management
- Conduct variance analysis and develop commentary on financial performance
- Utilize FP&A systems (Netsuite, NSPB, SiteTracker, Sigma) to build reports and support reporting needs
- Assist with investor reporting and communications
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling for new initiatives or projects
- Collaborate with cross-department teams to consolidate inputs and develop presentations
Requirements
- Candidates must demonstrate 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's or equivalent undergraduate degree with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
- Candidates must have strong analytical skills, specifically with finance, accounting, and math.
- Candidates must have proficiency with financial analysis, quantitative, and modeling skills.
- Candidates must have high proficiency with Excel, with the ability to produce and audit models independently, particularly with large sets of data.
- Candidates must have high attention to detail.
- Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Candidates must be able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates must be highly motivated and show exceptional career progress to date.
- Candidates must be able to prepare monthly cash and GAAP forecasts and communicate with leaders through deck presentations.
- Candidates must be able to prepare variance analysis commentary and work in FP&A systems Netsuite, NSPB, SiteTracker, and Sigma to build new reports.
- Candidates must support investor reporting and communications.
- Candidates must be able to prepare ad-hoc financial analysis or modeling for new initiatives or projects.
- Candidates must support corporate finance and FP&A efforts by working alongside senior leaders to execute the corporate cash planning processes, conduct financial statement analysis and reviews, and optimize inputs with the goal of automating manual processes.
- Candidates must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of management and be an integral team player.
- Candidates should have experience in the Solar Renewable industry (preferred).
- Candidates should have an MBA (preferred).
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 plus bonus and benefits
Hybrid in-office schedule based out of Washington, DC
