Job Description
The Sr. Director, Development at Copia Power is responsible for overseeing large-scale renewable energy projects from land negotiations and permitting to construction, supporting project lifecycle management, and collaborating with various internal teams to accelerate decarbonization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full project cycle from financing through construction for large renewable energy projects.
- Lead land negotiations, real estate, permitting, interconnection, and legal processes related to project development.
- Collaborate with development, engineering, energy markets, legal, and finance teams to advance project objectives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the renewable energy space, with exposure to land negotiations, real estate, engineering, permitting, interconnection, and legal aspects through construction commencement.
- Experience supporting large portfolio projects through the full project cycle from financing through construction.
- Exceptional decision-making, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to collaborate well in a fast-paced, people-first company environment.
