Job Description
The Sr. Safety Manager will oversee safety protocols and support the execution of large-scale renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance and safety standards during pre-construction and construction phases within the energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety protocols for pre-construction and construction phases of energy projects
- Monitor and enforce safety standards on job sites to ensure compliance
- Conduct safety training and awareness programs for project personnel
- Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with project teams, legal, and asset management to ensure safety compliance
- Perform safety audits and inspections throughout project lifecycle
- Investigate safety incidents and prepare reports to prevent recurrence
Requirements
- Experience in the Energy Industry, with a focus on utility-scale photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems, or gas generators is a plus.
- Provide key support and execute on a multi-gigawatt pipeline of projects under pre-construction planning or in construction.
- Report directly to the Director, Project Management, and work closely with asset management, energy markets, legal, and finance teams in an individual contributor capacity.
