Job Description
The Senior Accountant will manage financial data, perform account reconciliations, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance for solar renewable energy projects, primarily focusing on utility-scale solar assets. The role involves month-end close processes, financial statement preparation, internal controls, and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes following internal controls.
- Perform account reconciliations, analyze financial statements, and support general ledger activities.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support internal and external audits by compiling financial data and documentation.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Research and resolve technical accounting and reporting issues related to solar projects.
- Provide accurate general ledger account coding for utility-scale solar projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in general accounting.
- Knowledge of ERP accounting system.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent efforts and provide high-quality deliverables accurately and on time.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Practical understanding and application of internal control processes and procedures over financial accounting and reporting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including performing financial and analytical computations in Excel.
- Detail-oriented and adaptable to changing working requirements.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company-wide objectives.
- Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency.

Salary range: $89,000 - $108,000 USD
