The Senior Associate at CRA's Forensic Services practice conducts digital forensic investigations related to cybersecurity incidents, supports incident response efforts, evaluates cybersecurity controls, and assists clients with legal and compliance matters, while managing project teams and contributing to business development.
Key Responsibilities
Execute security and privacy investigations, including breach detection, threat analysis, incident response, and malware analysis.
Perform forensic analysis of digital information using computer forensics techniques and tools.
Evaluate and implement new tools and processes to improve incident response capabilities.
Maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies to assist in criminal matters.
Prepare client communications regarding project milestones and findings.
Manage risk through quality control measures and documentation.
Support engagement planning, analysis, and execution of forensic projects.
Supervise and develop junior team members.
Provide technical assessment and guidance on cybersecurity controls based on relevant frameworks.
Assist in business development by drafting proposals and coordinating with practice areas.
Requirements
Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
5-7 years of experience in cyber intrusion investigation or incident response analysis.
Experience in a hands-on technical role functioning as an incident responder, network forensic analyst, or malware analyst.
Experience with data analytics engagements and contributing to the execution of technology-based best practices.
Working knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, file systems, computer networks, e-mail systems, mobile devices, IT security, or incident response.
Deep knowledge of networking TCP/IP, design, traffic flow, protocols, sessions, operating systems Windows, Linux, and web technologies.

Compensation/salary range: $130,000 - $152,500 with potential bonus incentive
