Job Description
The position involves conducting research, analyzing data, and providing economic and market insights related to the energy industry, including market analysis, policy assessment, strategic consulting, and supporting litigation and mergers, primarily for clients such as utilities, investors, and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analyze data related to electricity, oil, and gas markets.
- Perform economic assessments of policies and regulations affecting energy decisions.
- Support clients in strategic and operational decision-making regarding ESG concerns.
- Prepare expert reports and provide testimony for energy-related litigation.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies for energy projects and companies.
- Plan and advise on mergers, acquisitions, and divestments in the energy sector.
- Assess market potential for renewable and unconventional energy technologies.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a strong interest in the energy industry and possess a background in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Candidates should have research experience, computer and programming skills, presentation and communication skills, and strong writing ability.
- Applicants should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex ideas to all levels of the client organization.
- Candidates with 7-10 years of relevant work experience in energy, economics, or finance will be viewed most favorably.

Compensation/salary range: $175,000 - $250,000 annually, with potential bonus incentive compensation
Work schedule flexibility: at least 3 to 4 days in the office per week, with options for remote work
