Job Description

The position involves conducting research, analyzing energy markets, and providing data-driven insights to support strategic, regulatory, and legal decisions within the energy industry, with opportunities for professional growth and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analyze data related to energy markets, policies, and regulations
  • Use software tools to organize, analyze, and deliver data-driven insights
  • Support clients in making strategic and operational decisions regarding energy assets and policies
  • Prepare expert reports and provide testimony for energy-related litigation
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for energy projects and mergers
  • Assess market potential for renewable and unconventional energy technologies

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a strong interest in the energy industry and have majored in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Physics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Candidates should have research experience, computer and programming skills, presentation and communication skills, and strong writing ability.
  • Candidates must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex ideas to all levels of the client organization.
  • Applicants with skills in both energy and economics finance are preferred.
  • Candidates should have 7-10 years of relevant work experience in the energy or related fields.
  • Experience with MS Excel, programming languages, or other data analytics tools is a plus.
