This role involves managing and executing intellectual property valuation and damages analysis projects, providing expert testimony, developing client deliverables, and leading project teams within a consulting firm specializing in economic and financial analysis of IP issues.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage assigned projects, supervising team members and ensuring timely delivery
Serve as the primary client contact and assist in presenting conclusions and recommendations
Create and develop client deliverables, including expert reports and analyses
Design complex financial models to analyze economic and financial data
Oversee the creation of analyses and ensure their accuracy and integrity
Summarize key issues from client documents, reports, and third-party data
Provide strategic insights regarding project scope, budget, and staffing
Lead and participate in recruiting, professional development, and practice initiatives
Requirements
Candidates must have 10 years of finance, accounting, or economic work experience with proven project management skills.
Candidates should possess a solid working knowledge of financial and economic concepts.
Candidates must have strong business writing skills.
Candidates should have an advanced degree or professional certification such as CFA or CPA; these are beneficial but not required.
Candidates with prior consulting or financial services experience are preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to independently generate client engagements and possess strong business development skills, especially if they have all other required skills.
Candidates must have the ability to effectively plan and manage assigned projects, including supervising and being accountable for the work of other team members.
Candidates should be able to act as a primary point of contact for clients and assist in the presentation of conclusions and recommendations.
Candidates must be capable of creating and developing client deliverables, including expert reports summarizing opinions.
Candidates should be able to independently conceptualize and identify issues, design complex financial models to analyze economic and financial data, and oversee the creation of analyses.
Candidates must be able to direct project team members on project scope, deliverables, and deadlines.
Candidates should be able to summarize key issues from review of client documents, analyst reports, and third-party financial, market, and industry data.
Candidates must provide strategic insights to leadership regarding project scope, budget, and staffing.
Candidates should ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
Candidates must have the ability to lead and participate in recruiting and professional development efforts, as well as other practice, office, and corporate initiatives.
Candidates should have the ability to learn quickly, solve problems, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Candidates must be willing to travel minimally, as travel is required in the Intellectual Property practice.

Salary range of $175,000 - $250,000 with potential for bonus incentive compensation
