Job Description
This role involves managing and executing complex intellectual property valuation and damages analysis projects, providing expert testimony, and delivering strategic insights to clients across various industries, primarily within a consulting environment that emphasizes economic, financial, and business analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and oversee assigned projects, including supervising team members and ensuring timely delivery
- Serve as the primary client contact and assist in presenting conclusions and recommendations
- Create and develop client deliverables such as expert reports and analyses
- Design complex financial models to analyze economic and financial data
- Identify issues, analyze data, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses and opinions
- Lead project teams on scope, deliverables, and deadlines
- Summarize key issues from client documents, reports, and third-party data
- Provide strategic insights on project scope, budget, and staffing to leadership
Requirements
- Candidates must have 10 years of finance, accounting, or economic work experience with proven project management skills.
- Candidates should possess a solid working knowledge of financial and economic concepts.
- Candidates must have strong business writing skills.
- Candidates should have an advanced degree or professional certification such as CFA or CPA; while beneficial, these are not mandatory.
- Candidates with prior consulting or financial services experience are preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to independently generate client engagements and possess strong business development skills, especially if they have all other required skills.
- Candidates must have the ability to effectively plan and manage assigned projects, including supervising and being accountable for the work of other team members.
- Candidates should be able to act as a primary point of contact for clients and assist in the presentation of conclusions and recommendations.
- Candidates must be capable of creating and developing client deliverables, including expert reports summarizing opinions.
- Candidates should be able to independently conceptualize and identify issues, design complex financial models to analyze economic and financial data, and oversee the creation of analyses.
- Candidates must be able to direct project team members on project scope, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Candidates should be able to summarize key issues from review of client documents, analyst reports, and third-party financial, market, and industry data.
- Candidates must provide strategic insights to leadership regarding project scope, budget, and staffing.
- Candidates must ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
- Candidates should have the ability to lead and participate in recruiting and professional development efforts, as well as other practice, office, and corporate initiatives.
- Candidates must have the ability to learn quickly, solve problems, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Candidates should be willing to travel minimally, as travel is required in the Intellectual Property practice.
Benefits & Perks
Salary range of $175,000 - $250,000 with potential for bonus incentive compensation
Work schedule of 3 to 4 days per week in the office, with flexibility for remote work
