Job Description
The role involves providing economic advice on competition policy, regulation, and antitrust matters, including analyzing mergers, cartels, and market behavior, while working closely with clients, legal teams, and industry experts to deliver clear and sophisticated economic analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with academics, attorneys, and clients on finance, strategy, and economics issues
- Develop and present client deliverables, including expert reports and analyses
- Design complex economic and financial models to analyze data
- Manage research processes and supervise, train, and mentor junior analysts
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of analyses and opinions
- Provide economic analyses of mergers and competition matters for judicial proceedings
- Assist with recruiting and training new colleagues
Requirements
- A graduate degree (Masters or PhD) with focused study in economics or another quantitative discipline.
- Extensive and relevant experience of 7-11 years, preferably in economics or antitrust consulting.
- Demonstrated understanding of economic concepts, competition regulatory authorities, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience managing and developing teams of junior colleagues.
- Strong achievement in a graduate degree program.
- Ability to independently conceptualize and identify issues, and design complex economic and financial models to analyze economic and financial data.
- Experience working with those testifying in judicial proceedings to provide economic analyses of mergers and other competition matters before major competition authorities of the world.
