Job Description
The Hybrid Readiness Engineer at Charles River Associates is responsible for assessing, leading proof-of-concept projects, and developing frameworks to enable the firm's transition to a hybrid cloud environment, focusing on workload migration, cloud governance, automation, and collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess workload migration readiness and evaluate existing infrastructure for cloud migration.
- Lead proof-of-concept projects to validate hybrid cloud solutions.
- Develop and implement cloud governance frameworks, including security, compliance, and cost management practices.
- Support the adoption and integration of automation tools for cloud provisioning and management.
- Collaborate with on-premises and cloud teams to standardize practices and support hybrid cloud initiatives.
- Document cloud migration processes, governance standards, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, GCP and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Strong understanding of workload migration, cloud governance, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Ability to lead proof-of-concept projects and collaborate across teams.
- Effective communication skills with experience in documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Experience assessing workload migration readiness and identifying opportunities and challenges for moving workloads to cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience developing and implementing cloud governance frameworks, including security, compliance, and cost management practices (FinOps).
- Support the adoption of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform for cloud provisioning, configuration, and management.
- Partner with on-premises and cloud teams to share expertise, standardize practices, and support hybrid initiatives.
- Document cloud migration processes, governance standards, and lessons learned, and contribute to team training and enablement efforts.

Salary range: $130,000 - $140,000 with potential bonus incentive
