The position involves providing strategic consulting services in the regulated energy sector, advising clients on utility regulation, transactions, and infrastructure projects, with a focus on rate cases, regulatory mechanisms, and industry analysis, requiring at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients in the regulated energy sector on issues related to utility regulation, finance, and transactions.
Manage complex utility rate cases and similar proceedings, including project management and coordination.
Provide strategic advisory services to utilities and infrastructure owners to support growth and regulatory compliance.
Represent utilities and energy firms before regulators and in dispute resolution processes.
Offer expert testimony in docketed regulatory proceedings.
Requirements
At least 6 years of relevant experience in utility regulation, utility finance, or transactions, demonstrated by a successful record in these areas.
Experience acquired in consulting roles as well as in-house with utility companies and state or federal regulators.
Experience managing complex projects, including utility rate cases and similar proceedings.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.
A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is desired.
Ability to independently manage consulting teams and complex assignments with limited oversight.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop junior staff.
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Publications demonstrating positioning as a thought leader in the industry would be considered a strong asset.
Comfort working in an unstructured environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness.

Salary range of $140,000 - $215,000 with potential bonus incentive compensation
