The Associate in the Risk, Investigations Analytics practice conducts in-depth investigations and research on individuals and entities using open source materials, preparing reports and briefings for clients such as law firms, financial institutions, and corporations, to support litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct investigations involving background research on individuals and entities using open source materials
Prepare written reports, briefings, and client deliverables for investigations
Research public records, social media, and collect human intelligence across multiple jurisdictions
Coordinate with case teams on project deliverables, status updates, and reporting deadlines
Present research findings through written and verbal briefings to case leaders and clients
Identify and develop resources useful for investigative research
Mentor junior analysts and support team collaboration and professional growth
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor s degree in a related discipline; a Master s degree is also desirable.
Up to 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a consulting organization.
Experience using investigative databases such as WestLaw, LexisNexis, Factiva, Accurint, etc.
Experience working with a range of public record resources including civil and criminal proceedings, SEC filings, property records, bankruptcies, tax liens, news media, social media, corporate filings, regulatory filings, and sanctions.
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage multiple workstreams, be attentive to detail, and meet timely deadlines.
Proven experience identifying adverse issues, evaluating sources, and determining the completeness and accuracy of public records.
High level of initiative and curiosity, a strong work ethic, and dedication to quality.
