Job Description
This internship offers an opportunity to work on economic and industry research, perform financial and economic analyses, develop models, and support consulting projects in various practice areas such as antitrust, labor, and life sciences within a global consulting firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct economic, industry, and financial research to understand case issues
- Perform economic analyses, develop valuation models, and conduct regression analyses using various programming languages and tools
- Review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
- Assist in producing research summaries, expert reports, and presentation of findings
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of analysis through quality control reviews
Requirements
- Candidates must be Bachelor’s or Master’s degree candidates graduating December 2026 or Summer 2027 with an academic focus on quantitative research such as Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Completion of an honors thesis, research apprenticeship, or research seminar program is highly desired.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to explain, economic, financial, and/or accounting concepts, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
- Experience in Excel, Stata, Python, R, SQL, SAS, ArcGIS ArcPy, or Cloud computing platforms such as Databricks Spark, Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
- Ability to conduct economic and industry research to understand case issues.
- Ability to perform financial and economic analyses or create valuation models to support case theories.
- Ability to program, build models, and perform regression analyses using languages such as Excel, Stata, R, Python, SQL, or SAS.
- Ability to develop familiarity with data sources that serve as input to analyses.
- Ability to review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press.
- Ability to assist in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and findings presentations.
- Ability to ensure the reliability of analysis through quality control review.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and programming languages.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $30 - $37.50 per hour
Work schedule: 3 to 4 days per week in the office with flexibility for remote work
