Job Description
The role involves delivering strategy consulting projects in the energy sector by conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing client reports, while working closely with senior colleagues to address specific industry challenges and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategy consulting projects addressing specific client needs in the energy industry
- Conduct independent research to identify, collect, manage, and analyze data using spreadsheets and statistical tools
- Contribute to internal discussions by analyzing data and integrating findings into project deliverables
- Conduct interviews with clients or external stakeholders via phone or face-to-face
- Facilitate industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies through primary and secondary research
- Analyze market rules, regulations, industry trends, and relevant documents
- Generate sections of client reports, presentations, and other deliverables under supervision
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with strong academic performance, and must be graduating from a bachelor’s or master’s degree program for this role; if graduating from an MBA or PhD program or if the candidate has work experience, they should refer to the Careers site for current open roles.
- Experience with, or keen interest in, the energy sector or other relevant sectors.
- Curious and analytical thinkers who bring creative approaches to non-standard problems.
- Understanding of how to conduct secondary research, critically interpret data, and summarize key takeaways.
- Effective written communication and oral presentation skills.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and programming languages.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Clear and demonstrated interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, activities, or attendance at CRA recruiting events.
- Ability to conduct independent research to identify, collect, manage, and analyze data using spreadsheets and statistical programs.
- Ability to contribute to internal discussions that build insights from the analytical process and integrate findings into broader project deliverables.
- Ability to conduct telephone or face-to-face interviews with clients or external stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate industry, market structure, and competitor-positioning studies using secondary research and/or primary research surveys or interviews.
- Ability to investigate and analyze market rules, regulations, industry trends, or other documents.
- Ability to assume responsibility for generating sections of client reports, presentations, and other client deliverables such as Excel workbooks and PowerPoint presentations under supervision.
- Willingness to periodically travel as required.
