Job Description

The role involves leading strategy and operations for Celonis' North America region, focusing on shaping go-to-market plans, driving business growth, coordinating cross-functional teams, and building a high-performance sales and operations team to support rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and operations for North America, including sales team management and business execution.
  • Act as COO for the region, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders such as Marketing, Talent, Enablement, and Product.
  • Develop and implement a go-to-market (GTM) strategy, including territory planning, verticalization, and partner ecosystem alignment.
  • Define key metrics, KPIs, and processes to unify teams and measure performance.
  • Support sales programs to generate pipeline, close deals, and ensure customer success.
  • Oversee day-to-day business performance, including planning, forecasting, and compensation across sales functions.
  • Coordinate with regional teams (EMEA, JAPAC) to ensure alignment and share best practices.
  • Build and scale a high-performance team and establish regional leadership structures.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to be a critical and thoughtful business partner.
  • Proven ability to develop, coach and inspire a highly motivated team of Ops rockstars.
  • Knowledge of enterprise SaaS selling, including market positioning.
  • Knowledge of working with partners and establishing ecosystem-awareness and engagement in a sales team.
  • Ability to operate in a global environment, with thoughtfulness on balancing global standardization with localization for impact.
  • Experience in setting and driving the strategy for an integrated Go-To-Market (GTM) approach, including clarity of roles, handoffs, accountabilities, and ratios.
  • Experience in shaping the planning process for North America and building a GTM plan that considers verticalization, recruitment, and talent management.
  • Experience in working with ecosystem teams to ensure GTM strategy is partner-friendly and aligned for rapid scaling through indirect channels.
  • Ability to define key metrics, KPIs, and processes that cut across functions to bring teams together.
  • Experience in defining and supporting key programs that help sales functions create pipeline, close business, and deliver value to customers.
  • Experience in supporting day-to-day business operations including performance management, compensation, planning, and forecasting across pre-sales, post-sales, and ecosystem functions.
  • Experience in coordinating with EMEA and JAPAC regions to ensure alignment and continuity, and to support innovation and sharing of best practices.
  • Ability to build and scale a high-performance team that embodies a high-performance culture in an emotionally aware and passionate way.
  • Experience in establishing and running a broader leadership team acting as a COO for the region.
  • Experience in managing and leading Strategy and Operations for a critical growth region, with direct accountability for the operations team tied to the core sales team.
  • Ability to act as COO for the region, bringing together stakeholders from functions including Marketing, Talent, Enablement, and Product.
  • Experience in defining, evolving, and running the GTM for a growing business.
  • Ability to support and support the overall strategy for the company at a global level.
