Job Description
A strategic communications leadership role responsible for safeguarding brand reputation, managing media relations, and supporting public affairs efforts across global markets, with a focus on issues management, crisis response, and policy engagement in the tech industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard and manage the company's global brand reputation
- Support public affairs strategy and stakeholder engagement in key markets
- Lead media engagement during high-stakes or sensitive events
- Monitor media and reputational risks, develop response strategies
- Prepare briefing documents, Q&As, and talking points for media and public engagements
- Support crisis communication efforts and contribute to crisis response protocols
- Build and nurture relationships with top-tier global media outlets and policymakers
- Create messaging around evolving regulations, AI governance, and policy matters
- Track relevant legislation and regulatory developments to inform communication strategies
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on issues management, crisis communications, or public affairs
- Strong global media relationships and fluency with the international news landscape
- Excellent writing, editing, and strategic messaging skills
- Native English speaker (other languages are a bonus)
- Proven experience handling high-pressure, confidential, and complex communications challenges
- Familiarity with public policy, lobbying, or regulatory affairs in a tech-forward or regulated industry
- A self-motivated, passionate, resourceful, and responsible communications professional capable of leading complex, strategic programs
- Experience in fast-paced, regulated, or high-stakes industries such as tech, financial services, or healthcare
- Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Based in Europe, with the ability to travel for events or meetings as needed
