Job Description
A Software Engineer at Celonis will develop and improve frontend systems, focusing on build infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and UI testing frameworks, while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable software deployment in a cloud SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize frontend systems within the Celonis platform.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD infrastructure and release processes.
- Build and evolve UI testing frameworks, particularly using Playwright.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application quality and deployment performance.
- Conduct performance benchmarking, standardization, and continuous testing of systems.
- Analyze release issues to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Mentor engineering teams on testing infrastructure and best practices.
- Integrate advanced tooling and techniques to enhance build stability and developer experience.
Requirements
- 4 years experience as a software engineer on cloud SaaS platforms
- Deep knowledge of build infrastructure, CI pipelines, monitoring and analysis of various frontend functional tests
- Experience with Github, nx, Sonarcloud, Datadog, AWS, and Azure
- Expertise in Playwright and its infrastructure, as well as running large scale UI tests in parallel across shared resources
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, shell scripting, and Java
- Joy of doing root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and solving build infrastructure problems
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Bias for action, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and effectively with diverse fast-paced teams
