Job Description
The Distribution Account Manager is responsible for supporting and managing distributor relationships by ensuring operational efficiency, facilitating program adoption, handling deal registration processes, and providing system support to drive channel growth within a fast-paced technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational contact for distributor community, managing inquiries and ensuring smooth communication.
- Manage the full lifecycle of deal registration approvals, rejections, extensions, and reassignments.
- Resolve distributor-facing platform issues, including portal access, login troubleshooting, and CPQ system support.
- Communicate and explain distributor program details, updates, and provide access to training and certifications.
- Maintain pipeline hygiene through qualification and cleanup activities within Salesforce.
- Generate reports and prepare presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews and ROI analysis.
- Drive distributor participation in marketing events and follow-up to maximize sales opportunities.
- Assess and improve operational workflows, documenting new processes to streamline distributor interactions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex internal systems such as CRMs like Salesforce and Partner Portals, with a keen eye for improving business processes.
- Understanding of the indirect sales model and the critical role of distribution partners in a technology ecosystem.
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of diverse inquiries, acting as a reliable and responsive liaison to maintain high partner satisfaction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex program details and operational steps.
- Experience with managing sales data, performing pipeline hygiene, and using reporting tools to support business reviews.
- Self-starter attitude with the drive to take ownership of issues and pursue resolutions, coupled with strong time management skills to handle competing priorities.
- Ability to act as the primary operational point of contact for the distributor community, fielding and redirecting inbound queries to ensure a seamless experience.
- Experience managing the full lifecycle of deal registration approvals, rejections, extensions, and reassignments, maintaining quick turnaround times and accuracy.
- Ability to resolve distributor-facing platform issues, including managing portal access, troubleshooting logins, and acting as the central point person for CPQ issues such as license allocation.
- Ability to clearly communicate and explain distributor program details, proactively providing updates on progress toward meeting requirements and assisting with access to required training and certifications.
- Experience contributing to pipeline hygiene through consistent qualification and cleanup activities within Salesforce.
- Ability to generate reports for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and ROI analysis, and assist in preparing distribution-focused presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Experience supporting channel marketing efforts by driving high partner attendance at distributor marketing events and ensuring diligent follow-up post-event to maximize sales opportunity conversion.
- Ability to critically assess operational workflows, identify areas for improvement, and document new processes to enhance distributor ease of business.
