Job Description
A Senior Software Engineer in Release Infrastructure at Celonis is responsible for developing and maintaining core systems that improve software delivery, automate deployment processes, and enhance reliability across engineering teams, enabling faster and more reliable product releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Accelerate software delivery by improving automation and tooling to reduce time to production
- Design and implement developer-facing infrastructure to enhance software quality and reduce friction
- Collaborate with leadership to define the vision and roadmap for the internal developer platform
- Lead initiatives to expand GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and self-service deployment patterns
- Scale feature flag-based deployment strategies for controlled and reliable rollouts
- Enhance observability, incident response, and deployment safety across the software stack
- Own critical systems from concept to rollout, supporting them in partnership with SRE, infrastructure, and product teams
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in backend, DevOps, and/or platform engineering roles.
- Experience as a full stack engineer, working end to end.
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Solid understanding of modern cloud-native systems, especially containers and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.
- Proven ability to lead projects or own critical systems in production.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to solve problems and build great tools, with a focus on practical implementation over specific technologies.

Base salary range: $164,700 - $214,200 USD
