Job Description
A Software Engineer in the Performance squad responsible for developing and optimizing a highly parallelized and distributed database engine for process mining, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability within Celonis's Process Query Engine team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new concepts and algorithms for data management and query execution
- Benchmark and challenge solutions using performance engineering principles
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of the Process Query Engine
- Support problem-solving and optimization of the system
- Mentor project teams and junior engineers
- Lead projects and define technical roadmaps
- Take full responsibility for end-to-end solution development
Requirements
- University degree in computer science or comparable education
- Experience in software development for productive systems as senior with at least 5 years of experience
- Experience in system programming, ideally modern C
- Solid knowledge in one or more of the following areas: parallel computing, distributed systems, or database internals
- Excellent communication skills in English
