Job Description
This role involves building, operating, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platform based on Kubernetes, with a focus on DevOps practices, automation, and infrastructure as code to support Celonis' process intelligence technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and operate a highly available Microservices Cloud platform based on Kubernetes
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure software using modern technologies
- Establish best practices and develop tools to promote CI/CD and infrastructure platform adoption
- Automate operational tasks and manage infrastructure as code
- Monitor and manage cloud environments by integrating telemetry and observability tools
- Maintain best practices for notifications and incident response processes
- Own various components within a cloud-native architecture
- Implement DevOps infrastructure components and practices
- Deploy CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
Requirements
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5 years experience developing and maintaining Cloud solutions in large Enterprise environments
- Experience with at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java
- Proficiency in nix
- Experience in building highly available, scalable, distributed systems in a Microservices based architecture
- A solid grasp of development, automation, and monitoring tools and practices, including tools such as Kustomize, Datadog, Terraform, Grafana, Bash, and GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD
- Working knowledge of Containerization, network protocols, encryption, and security
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in production across multiple infrastructures
- Familiarity with working in an agile environment
