Job Description

The Principal Value Engineer at Celonis is responsible for guiding customers through data-driven business transformation by helping them adopt and maximize the value of the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform, combining consulting, technical, and strategic skills to drive measurable business impact and long-term adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help customers adopt and implement the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform to achieve business improvements.
  • Identify customer needs and translate strategic goals into specific use cases for platform impact.
  • Create business cases, demos, and presentations to demonstrate value and support sales efforts.
  • Conduct Proof of Value projects and present results to executive stakeholders.
  • Analyze customer data to identify process improvement opportunities and develop change initiatives.
  • Lead workshops to develop and implement process improvements and measure results.
  • Manage the entire customer journey, ensuring effective adoption, expansion, and renewal of the platform.
  • Collaborate with customers to develop long-term strategic roadmaps for business transformation.

Requirements

  • Experience in Value Selling or Consultative Sales leading a process of discovering customer needs, qualifying opportunities, building a business case value assessment, and running Proof of Value (PoV) projects.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate and sell based on value such as ROI or strategic impact rather than just product features.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS products, especially SaaS AI platforms or complex IT solutions, with the ability to hold technical discussions with a customer’s IT team.
  • Hands-on experience building technical demos, such as creating dashboards, simple applications, or automated workflows.
  • Experience using AI Large Language Models (LLMs), agents, etc., in an enterprise context is a plus.
  • Experience in a post-sales role like Customer Success or Implementation Consulting focused on helping customers achieve business results with a product.
  • Track record of driving user adoption, training users, helping establish operating models like a Center of Excellence, and securing renewals or expansions.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously, especially IT-related projects, controlling scope, timeline, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as consulting firms to deliver projects successfully.
  • Proven experience preparing materials for and presenting results to senior leaders (C-Level, VPs) both externally at the customer and internally.
  • Deep knowledge or practical experience in specific business functions such as Manufacturing or Supply Chain (e.g., Procurement, Order Management).
  • Experience with large-scale transformation initiatives such as Shared Services or ERP system migrations.
  • Strong understanding of trends, challenges, and strategic opportunities within specific industry verticals such as Manufacturing, Life Science, CPG, or Retail.
  • Experience tailoring proposals and roadmaps to address the specific C-suite agenda of a particular industry.
  • Fluency in Korean and English is required.
