Job Description
The role involves leading the development and execution of AI-driven value realization strategies for major energy and utility clients, focusing on process optimization, business case building, stakeholder engagement, and driving long-term operational and financial improvements within the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an architect for SaaS adoption workstreams within energy and utility accounts, building data-driven business cases with AI and automation solutions.
- Identify and map energy operations to AI-driven improvement use cases, focusing on high-impact areas like predictive maintenance and supply chain optimization.
- Construct data-backed business cases with investment estimates and ROI projections.
- Develop demos, value narratives, and ROI frameworks for C-level stakeholders to generate opportunities.
- Perform customer-facing value discovery and deliver proof-of-value projects for energy and utility clients.
- Lead the deployment of AI-powered feedback agents to surface operational themes and friction points.
- Guide customers on using AI and automation to streamline operational workflows and spearhead process redesigns.
- Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to benchmark capabilities and score operational improvements.
- Define success metrics, run pilots, and onboard users across client locations.
- Present executive-ready business cases to secure new revenue and expand client relationships.
- Build tools and best practices to assess automation opportunities across assets and regions.
- Mentor team members and serve as a senior resource for operational process design and KPI tracking.
- Provide feedback to product teams based on hands-on AI agent development and API integration.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in the Energy sector Oil Gas or Utilities.
- Experience in Management Consulting Strategy Operations Transformation is required.
- Deep knowledge of asset lifecycle management, upstream downstream operations, grid modernization, and the broader energy value chain.
- Proven track record of managing the full customer lifecycle, including landing new accounts, expanding footprint through strategic upselling, and driving long-term value to ensure high Net Revenue Retention (NRR), organic advocacy, and sustained SaaS growth.
- Track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and driving them to resolution, with the ability to impact the P&L and manage Capex Opex through process improvement, AI integration, and scalable technology deployment.
- Good knowledge of Business Software SaaS applications and Enterprise Asset Management systems such as SAP S/4HANA, IBM Maximo, AVEVA, GE Digital APM.
- Experience with data visualization, SQL, Python, or deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI models is a strong plus.
- Experience presenting to and working with senior stakeholders, with the ability to navigate complex internal structures and clearly communicate SaaS value and complex AI concepts to non-technical audiences from the boardroom to the control room.
- Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Management), Business Administration, Computer Science, or Industrial Operations Engineering (B.S. or M.S.).
- Additional certifications in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Analytics are highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving AI landscape, with a builder mentality and comfort working with ambiguity.
