Job Description
A Corporate Finance Associate at Arevon is responsible for managing and developing the company's central financial model, performing valuation and scenario analyses, and supporting strategic investment and financing decisions within the renewable energy sector, with high exposure to senior leadership and a focus on creating value through financial analysis and modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Arevon Corporate Model for valuation, acquisitions, divestitures, and financing decisions.
- Deliver quarterly valuation updates and analysis to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Enhance and automate the Corporate Model, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and auditability.
- Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and accretion/dilution analyses for strategic transactions.
- Support evaluation of investment, acquisition, and project financing decisions across solar and storage assets.
- Coordinate with finance, treasury, development, procurement, and asset management teams to align assumptions and forecasts.
- Assist in annual business planning, long-range forecasting, and strategic scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with external valuation advisors to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, Utilities Sector, or Banking
- Demonstrated financial acumen and experience developing and building complex financial models using Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Corporate valuation, M A, and/or portfolio-level modeling (preferred but not mandatory, included for context)
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems
- Extremely detail-oriented and highly well-organized, with a strong ability to manage complex, interdependent workstreams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results-oriented, process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with preference for VBA experience
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to work on the day-to-day management and evolution of the Corporate Model, ensuring accuracy, consistency, auditability, and scalability
- Ability to deliver quarterly valuation updates and analysis to the Executive Team and Board of Directors
- Ability to run accretion/dilution, sensitivity, and scenario analyses for M A, divestitures, financings, and strategic alternatives
- Ability to assess impacts on long-term incentive plans and translate outputs into decision-ready materials for senior leadership and the Board
- Ability to improve model structure, controls, documentation, and automation using advanced Excel VBA
- Support evaluation of investment, acquisition, and project financing decisions across solar and storage
- Partner with FP A to align budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking with the Corporate Model
- Coordinate inputs across Treasury, Project Finance, Development, Procurement, and Asset Management to maintain consistent assumptions
- Assist with annual business planning, long-range forecasting, and strategic scenario work
- Support external valuation advisors and consultants to strengthen transparency and audit readiness
