Job Description
The role involves leading and developing an engineering team focused on building innovative process observability solutions that enable cross-organization data sharing and collaboration, driving product delivery and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team to deliver their mission
- Support and develop the careers of team members
- Foster a culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration within the team
- Define and divide responsibilities among team members for efficient workflow
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders on goals and strategies
- Promote team collaboration and resolve impediments quickly
- Ensure technical decisions are aligned with overall objectives and facilitate team success
- Manage team performance and support technical project delivery
- Drive hiring processes and team growth
- Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders
- Ensure technical and operational alignment within the team and with other teams
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in an Engineering Manager role with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale technical projects
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
- Strong technical knowledge
- 5 years of experience in software development, with overall 10 years of experience in the Software engineering field
- Experience working with Java, JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, and microservices
- Working experience in DevOps, Docker, and CI/CD concepts and technology
- Proficiency in establishing and handling agile development methodologies and lean principle techniques such as Scrum, Kanban, and Continuous Delivery
- Proficiency in project management, relationship building, and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of at least one of the Business Domains that Celonis operates in, such as Order Management, Procurement, Accounts Receivable, or Accounts Payable
- Ability to resolve technical conflicts and provide a positive environment for escalations
- Strong communication skills in English, enabling smooth collaboration across business and technical domains
- Readiness to roll up your sleeves to help your team
- Experience managing, developing, and growing engineering teams, including building and maintaining an engineering culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration
- Experience in managing team performance and supporting career development of engineers
- Experience in collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and other leads on goals and strategies related to people, technology, and processes
- Experience in defining and dividing responsibilities among engineering team members to ensure cohesive and efficient workflows
