Job Description
The Corporate Development Director at Celonis is responsible for leading mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and integration efforts to support the company's growth strategy within the enterprise software landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business units to develop strategies, identify product gaps, and evaluate build, buy, or partner options.
- Manage all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including sourcing, screening, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
- Conduct deep due diligence on target companies, including market, management, and customer analysis.
- Structure and negotiate deal terms, including valuation, financing, and legal agreements.
- Prepare strategic deal memos and presentations for executive decision-making.
- Coordinate and manage the transaction process and cross-functional teams during due diligence and integration.
- Develop and implement integration plans to ensure successful assimilation of acquired companies.
- Oversee and guide cross-functional teams to achieve synergy targets and maximize acquisition value.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or a related field in or with exposure to enterprise software
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a similar discipline
- Proven track record of leading and executing M A transactions and strategic investments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to craft investment memos and presentations and present to executive management
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in building decision frameworks models
- Ability to manage complex projects and work cross-functionally under pressure, while maintaining high attention to detail
