A Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer role focused on developing and presenting technical solutions in the cyber resilience and data storage space, collaborating with sales teams to drive revenue growth and customer success through tailored demonstrations, evaluations, and strategic technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Understand customer business challenges and tailor technical solutions accordingly
Act as a technical expert during the sales process to demonstrate product value
Develop expertise in Disaster Recovery, Cyber Resilience, and storage products
Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes
Collaborate with sales teams, specialists, and partners to drive revenue and new business
Manage evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations for customer solutions
Create and deliver technical presentations to clients to secure technical wins
Translate customer needs into innovative technical solutions to support growth
Identify and promote opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation
Support marketing efforts through technical materials like whitepapers and presentations
Stay current with industry trends, competition, and solution positioning
Requirements
Pre-sales experience is required with 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
Experience supporting the sales of enterprise software, SaaS, storage, or cloud solutions to enterprise accounts is preferred.
Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered Cyber Resilience and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Prior experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.
Experience contributing significant portions of or leading responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Working knowledge of applications relevant for Disaster Recovery and Cyber Recovery, including Active Directory, DNS, Layer 2 and 3 networking.
Working knowledge of VMware vCenter, ESX, virtualized storage, and networking.
Working knowledge of AWS EC2, EBS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes (k8s), and microservices architectures is a plus.
Strong focus on understanding how to speed up Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to move pipeline opportunities from validation to late-stage deal close.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers.
Ability to capture customer requirements and translate business needs into innovative solutions.
