Job Description
The Corporate Development Director at Celonis will lead mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments to support the company's growth, including sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and integrating deals within the enterprise software landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business unit leaders to develop strategies and identify product gaps.
- Oversee all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including sourcing, screening, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
- Conduct deep due diligence on target companies, including market, management, and customer analysis.
- Structure and negotiate deal terms such as valuation, financing, and legal agreements.
- Prepare strategic deal memos and presentations for executive decision-making.
- Manage the transaction process and coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement integration plans for acquired companies to achieve synergy targets.
- Contribute to process improvements within the corporate development team and support team growth.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or a related field with exposure to enterprise software.
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Proven track record of leading and executing M A transactions and strategic investments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to craft investment memos and presentations and present to executive management.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in building decision frameworks models.
- Ability to manage complex projects and work cross-functionally under pressure, while maintaining high attention to detail.
