Review and assess carbon project proposals based on established quality criteria
Prepare short reports evaluating project proposals under the supervision of senior scientists
Conduct technical diligence on various carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies
Requirements
Candidates must be advanced graduate students at the Masters or PhD level in climate science fields such as forestry, engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or ecology.
Candidates must be interested in gaining work experience through project reviews related to carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies.
Candidates must be able to conduct project reviews that follow a set template and examine project proposals in the context of six quality criteria.
Candidates must work under the oversight of a Carbon Direct senior scientist and adhere to rigorous QA/QC standards.
Candidates must be able to complete short reports based on project reviews, with deliverables aligned to the anticipated length and complexity of each review.
