Job Description
Canonical is seeking a B2B Events Manager to develop and execute event strategies across APAC, collaborating with various teams to enhance visibility, manage logistics, and measure event effectiveness in a dynamic, technology-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a long-term event strategy across APAC
- Identify and prioritize events for participation based on research and team input
- Source deals to maximize visibility and minimize costs for events
- Provide logistical support for global events, including occasional travel
- Manage event budgets, planning, and adjustments
- Create systems to measure and improve event effectiveness over time
Requirements
- Experience in B2B events organisation including trade shows, customer events, and webinars.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or STEM fields with excellent academic results.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
- Hands-on mindset with a passion for experimentation and problem solving.
- Growth mindset with enthusiasm for challenges and a strong work ethic with a can-do attitude.
- Objectivity and openness to others' views while continuously building a positive team spirit.
- Proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Ability to develop a long-term event strategy and execute various events across APAC.
- Ability to maintain a list of events Canonical should participate in based on primary research and input from team members.
- Ability to set relevant KPIs to measure individual event effectiveness and justify spend.
- Ability to source the best possible deals to maximise visibility and minimise costs.
- Ability to provide full logistic support to all events globally with occasional travel to major events.
- Experience in event budget planning and execution with constant monitoring and adjustment.
- Ability to create systems to measurably improve event effectiveness over time.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with engineers, product managers, sales representatives, and executives.
