Job Description
This position involves designing and reviewing telecommunications and audiovisual systems for construction projects across various sectors, including healthcare, education, and commercial buildings, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform construction drawings and specifications for telecommunications systems in building projects.
- Design communication and telecommunication systems, including electronic security and audiovisual systems, for healthcare, education, and commercial clients.
- Analyze engineering documents and layout systems regarding components and parts.
- Research and respond to design issues and participate in value engineering sessions.
- Review and markup shop drawings and submittals, and assist in responding to RFIs and change orders.
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Requirements
- Minimum ABET EAC Bachelor degree or equivalent required.
- Qualified candidates must have 4 years of related experience.
- EIT or FE certification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
- Revit proficiency is preferred.
- Willingness to perform overtime work.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to perform physical site walk-throughs during job site visits.
