Job Description

This role involves managing and facilitating sustainable design strategies for institutional and commercial building projects, including LEED documentation, stakeholder engagement, energy and life cycle analysis, and supporting the sustainable design process within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate sustainable design strategies for multiple building projects.
  • Coordinate documentation for rating systems and standards, primarily LEED.
  • Guide sustainable design processes through workshops, charrettes, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Research materials, systems, and approaches to enhance health and wellness in projects.
  • Perform building energy and life cycle analysis.
  • Conduct site visits to verify conditions and document construction for LEED and other requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Environmental Design or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • LEED AP BD+C certification required.
  • Experience managing and facilitating sustainable design strategies for multiple institutional and commercial building design and construction projects.
  • Ability to manage the documentation process for rating systems and standards, primarily LEED.
  • Experience guiding the sustainable design process through workshops, design charrettes, stakeholder engagement, etc.
  • Ability to research materials, systems, and approaches to improve the health and wellness of projects.
  • Experience performing building energy and life cycle analysis.
  • Ability to visit job sites to verify conditions and document construction for LEED requirements, including physical site walk-throughs.
  • Strong sustainability portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with energy analysis software such as eQUEST or Energy Plus.
  • Experience with life cycle assessment tools such as Tally, One-Click LCA, or Athena.
