Assist in the design, analysis, and documentation of structural systems for various building types under the supervision of a licensed engineer, utilizing engineering software and BIM tools, with opportunities for field observations and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and analyze structural systems for various building types under supervision
Perform design calculations using engineering software
Create BIM models and produce Contract Documents including plans, sections, details, and specifications
Coordinate structural systems with overall building design with the design team
Review shop drawings during construction
Conduct field observations and site walkthroughs during construction
Requirements
Master in Civil Engineering with Structural focus, Master in Structural Engineering or Master of Architectural Engineering Structural emphasis from an ABET accredited program is required by hire date.
Related student internship work experience preferred.
EIT (Engineer in Training) and LEED accreditation preferred.
Must have strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, RAM, and RISA required.
Must be willing to perform overtime work.
Must be willing to perform field observations during construction phase, including a physical walk through of site.
