Job Description

This position involves leading the development, quality oversight, and coordination of technical documentation for large, complex architectural projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and guiding project teams through quality and technical processes to deliver innovative and high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development, assembly, and quality oversight of technical documentation for large or multiple projects.
Manage and monitor the integrated quality review processes across all disciplines.
Coordinate project staffing and schedule quality reviews for all disciplines.
Guide the development and updates of the Project Quality Plan and ensure compliance with technical standards.
Review and oversee the planning of each phase's drawing document deliverables and ensure adherence to firm standards.
Collaborate with project leaders to resolve quality and technical challenges early in the project lifecycle.
Guide the team in developing coordinated technical solutions across documentation and construction phases.
Support project team decision-making and technical design solutions.
Monitor project metrics and discipline coordination to identify and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and client requirements through technical analysis.
Manage and record phase quality reviews and coordinate with project reviewers.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum 12 years of related professional experience.
Experience includes 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and or education projects.
At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional and or education projects.
Experience leading all technical aspects with production teams on large, complex projects of more than 200 million dollars in construction costs.
Must have experience designing, documenting, coordinating, and administering the construction of significant education projects.
Expertise in education codes, standards, and familiarity with proven solutions to address conflicting requirements between building authorities, client needs, construction technologies, and insurance provisions.
Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
The ability to obtain Architectural Registration in Arkansas strongly preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Must be able to lead large, complex, or multiple projects.
Must have strong subject matter expertise in technical and construction documentation.
Must possess strong business acumen.
Demonstrated focus on quality.
Strong technical leadership with knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong coordination skills and the ability to build rapport with the project team and client.
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
Travel required.
