Job Description
This role involves leading and developing the Seattle and Portland market within CannonDesign, focusing on business growth, client engagement, team leadership, and advancing the firm's design philosophy of Living-Centered Design to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop high-performance, diverse teams focused on market growth and client engagement.
- Develop and implement the Market Business Plan to drive strategic initiatives and market differentiation.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve annual top-line revenue targets.
- Engage with clients at high levels on billable projects to foster strong relationships and secure future work.
- Promote the firm's brand externally and internally through speaking engagements, writing, and other activities.
- Assess market trends and identify growth opportunities within the market.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure successful implementation of business plan initiatives and profitability goals.
- Mentor, develop, and recruit staff to build a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive team.
- Contribute to practice support activities, including market intelligence, strategy development, and staff growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the S T Market.
- Strong presentation skills are essential.
- Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
- Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully are essential.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy are needed.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
- Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
- Some travel is required.
