This role involves leading and developing the Seattle and Portland markets for CannonDesign by driving business growth, managing client relationships, leading project teams, and promoting the firm's design philosophy of Living-Centered Design to achieve strategic and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead high-performance, diverse teams focused on market growth and client engagement
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve annual revenue targets
Lead client relationships at high levels, managing project-specific work and fostering long-term partnerships
Promote the firm's brand externally and internally through speaking engagements, writing, and other activities
Develop and implement a strategic market business plan to drive client engagement, market differentiation, and team growth
Oversee top-line revenue growth and ensure profitability targets are met
Assess, mentor, and recruit staff to build a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive team
Lead market strategy development, including market intelligence, differentiation, and global practice improvements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the S T Market.
Strong presentation skills are essential.
Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully are essential.
Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy are needed.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
Some travel is required.
Ability to develop and lead high-performance diverse teams focused on the development and implementation of the Market Business Plan.
Ability to develop and execute strategies to achieve a minimum of 10% annual growth of the practice year over year.
Ability to lead and engage with clients at the highest levels on billable project-specific work.

Ability to act as a leading voice for the market externally and internally through speaking events, writing, and other activities.

Ability to work collaboratively with Office and other Market Leadership to ensure successful implementation of business plan initiatives.
Ability to achieve a market net signed fee of at least $3.0 million annually.
Ability to identify future market trends and opportunities for growth and advancement of the market.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of best practices, evidence-based, and research-based design.
Ability to collaborate with firm-wide resources to focus on growing the top line of the market.
