Job Description

This leadership role involves overseeing the growth and strategic development of the Health Market in the Great Lakes Region for CannonDesign, focusing on client engagement, team building, market positioning, and business development to drive regional success and brand recognition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the Great Lakes Region, focusing on the growth of the health market.
  • Develop and lead high-performance, diverse teams aligned with regional strategies.
  • Contribute to firm success through strategy development, market intelligence, and business development.
  • Build regional and office business plans in collaboration with leadership to drive market growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with target clients to achieve revenue growth.
  • Lead client engagement at high levels, fostering long-term relationships and innovative solutions.
  • Enhance the regional brand through speaking engagements, writing, and external visibility.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the regional health market and improve client engagement.
  • Manage top-line revenue growth, aiming for a minimum of $5 million in signed fees annually.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop talent to build a high-performance, inclusive team.
  • Partner with clients on billable projects, ensuring high client satisfaction and future opportunities.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to advance the submarket and firm expertise.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure successful implementation of business plan initiatives.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the health market, best practices, and evidence-based design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Current Registration Licensure in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience with a proven track record of strategic growth, market and team leadership, and business development success in the Health Market.
  • Strong presentation skills are essential.
  • Exceptional client and people leadership skills are required.
  • Strong business acumen and proven ability to create and execute strategy is needed.
  • Professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully is essential.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing, accountable teams.
  • Must be able to demonstrate sound judgement and a sound approach regarding risk management and mitigation.
  • Some travel is required.

Salary range of $180,800 to $226,000 annually
