This role involves leading the design and management of integrated technology systems such as structured cabling, audiovisual, security, and data networking for large projects, while overseeing project execution, client relationships, and team mentorship within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and specify structured cabling, audio visual, electronic security, nurse call, distributed antenna, outside plant, data networking, LAN/WAN, voice/data architecture, and data center systems.
Lead and coordinate project teams, assign tasks, oversee progress, and ensure project goals are met.
Collaborate with design teams to identify technology scope, develop design concepts, and integrate projects across multiple markets.
Manage multiple large projects from concept through construction, ensuring adherence to schedules and client requirements.
Engage with clients to understand needs, develop engineering solutions, and maintain professional relationships.
Assess job sites, identify conflicts, and recommend resolutions.
Mentor staff, identify developmental needs, and facilitate training and career growth.
Prepare and review contract documents, proposals, and project documentation.
Negotiate and secure new project assignments through networking and client engagement.
Travel as needed to meet project and client demands.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required.
Minimum 8 years of related experience required.
Must have knowledge of the design of structured cabling systems, audio visual systems, electronic security systems, nurse call, distributed antenna systems, outside plant, data networking, LAN WAN, voice and data architecture, and data centers.
Understanding of applicable design codes including NFPA, FGI, NEC, BICSI, and EIA TIA.
Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.
Must be able to work independently with no oversight or guidance and perform work with a high degree of latitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
Ability to engage effectively with clients.
Revit proficiency is preferred.
