Job Description
This role involves leading the design and management of integrated technology systems such as structured cabling, audiovisual, security, and data networking for large projects, while overseeing project execution, client relationships, and team mentorship within a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify structured cabling, audio visual, electronic security, nurse call, distributed antenna, outside plant, data networking, LAN/WAN, voice/data architecture, and data center systems.
- Lead project teams by establishing assignments, overseeing progress, coordinating activities, and managing schedules across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with design teams to identify technology scope, develop engineering concepts, and implement technology system designs in various markets.
- Manage large or multiple projects from concept through construction, ensuring deadlines and client needs are met.
- Engage with clients to understand user needs, develop recommendations, and build professional relationships.
- Assess job sites for conflicts, provide resolution recommendations, and oversee project implementation documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience required.
- Must have knowledge of the design of structured cabling systems, audio visual systems, electronic security systems, nurse call systems, distributed antenna systems, outside plant, data networking, LAN/WAN, voice and data architecture, and data centers.
- Understanding of applicable design codes including NFPA, FGI, NEC, BICSI, and EIA TIA.
- Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.
- Must be able to work independently with no oversight or guidance and perform work with a high degree of latitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to engage effectively with clients.
- Revit proficiency is preferred.
