A senior-level plumbing and fire protection systems engineer responsible for designing, overseeing, and coordinating complex MEP projects in various sectors, providing technical leadership, modeling with Revit, and engaging with clients and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design and oversee complex plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems for large-scale buildings.
Create Revit BIM models of construction drawings from schematic design through construction administration.
Specify equipment such as water heaters, plumbing fixtures, and pumps.
Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.
Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
Lead or participate in value engineering sessions to improve project design and efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to design team members.
Interface with clients and project team members to coordinate project activities and attend meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required.
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
Current CPD, PE or FPE in the United States preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes.
Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.
Must be able to work independently with no oversight or guidance.
Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus required.
