Job Description
This role involves leading electrical engineering design and project management for building construction projects across various sectors, providing technical expertise, overseeing documentation, ensuring code compliance, and guiding project teams to deliver high-quality, efficient electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction, including lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications, and telecommunication systems.
- Develop project designs, set design goals, and oversee technical execution.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering team members.
- Lead or participate in project planning, meetings, and coordination with clients and design teams.
- Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications, and specify electrical equipment.
- Conduct quality control reviews, serve as an independent reviewer, and perform QAQC processes.
- Manage project engineering responsibilities, including adhering to budgets, schedules, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct site visits to verify conditions, observe construction progress, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience in electrical engineering.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering in the United States.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to serve in QAQC process and as an independent reviewer of engineering documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools.
