Job Description
This role involves leading and collaborating on architectural design projects, from conceptualization through construction, with a focus on innovative, sustainable, and client-responsive solutions, while mentoring emerging professionals and ensuring design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design process, translating ideas into built environment solutions and providing project design leadership.
- Conceptualize and develop design solutions throughout all project phases, ensuring responsiveness to client goals and culture.
- Support senior design leaders by translating shared design goals for the team and clients.
- Focus on schematic design and design development, guiding detailing and construction documentation in collaboration with project architects.
- Provide guidance on design intent during construction administration.
- Prepare and lead the creation of client presentation materials, including 2D and 3D visualizations.
- Lead design presentations to clients and project teams.
- Collaborate with interior designers, technical leaders, and engineers to develop holistic and sustainable design solutions.
- Coordinate design intent across multiple disciplines and integrate building systems considerations.
- Incorporate performance-based and sustainable strategies into design, supporting energy modeling efforts.
- Mentor and develop emerging professionals within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture required.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
- Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of exterior and interior materials and building assemblies.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Must be highly analytical.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines to achieve design intent.
- Command of Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office required.
- Experience with one or more real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work.
- Experience with digital media creation and editing in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications required.
