Job Description
The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for providing analytical, financial, and management support for large, multi-office projects, including data analysis, budget management, reporting, contract oversight, and team collaboration to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and report on project revenue, performance, and profitability forecasts
- Review and verify consultant contracts, invoices, and project budgets
- Manage project workload, schedules, and staffing in collaboration with project leadership
- Oversee timely and accurate project invoicing and collection of receivables
- Develop and maintain project financial reports, including graphics and high-level summaries
- Maintain positive client relations and facilitate communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate and support project team activities, monitor work progress, and promote best practices
- Assist in contract management, including drafting, approval, and risk monitoring
- Conduct schedule and time impact analyses as needed
- Maintain project records, reports, and contractual documentation
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years related experience required in project control activities, including progress tracking, data analysis, reporting, managing complex spreadsheets, and consolidating data from multiple sources.
- Minimum Associate's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and teamwork abilities.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including MS Project.
- Experience with Procore or Primavera 6 is preferred.
- Strong familiarity with PowerBI.
- Deltek Vision experience is preferred.
- MS Scheduling applications knowledge is preferred but not required.
