Job Description
The Project Architect will lead the technical development and coordination of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance throughout all phases from pre-design to construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical content and ensure compliance for large or multiple projects
- Manage project technical and production processes from pre-design through completion
- Coordinate disciplines to align design intent with project goals, budget, and schedule
- Oversee technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Lead project quality plans, risk assessments, and technical reviews
- Ensure building performance, sustainability, and code compliance are integrated into design
- Manage construction administration activities, including RFIs and submittals
- Supervise and mentor project team members to maintain technical quality standards
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
- Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
- Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects.
- At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
- Previous experience on large, complex projects.
- Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Demonstrated focus on quality.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must have strong client leadership skills.
- Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
- Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
