Job Description

The Project Architect will lead the technical development and coordination of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design intent, quality, and compliance throughout all phases from pre-design to construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of technical content and ensure compliance for large or multiple projects
  • Manage project technical and production processes from pre-design through completion
  • Coordinate disciplines to align design intent with project goals, budget, and schedule
  • Oversee technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Lead project quality plans, risk assessments, and technical reviews
  • Ensure building performance, sustainability, and code compliance are integrated into design
  • Manage construction administration activities, including RFIs and submittals
  • Supervise and mentor project team members to maintain technical quality standards

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
  • Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects.
  • At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
  • Previous experience on large, complex projects.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
  • Demonstrated focus on quality.
  • Must possess business acumen.
  • Must have strong client leadership skills.
  • Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
  • Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
