Job Description
The position is a Project Architect role responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and documentation of large, complex architectural projects from design through construction, ensuring quality, compliance, and integration of sustainable and building performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of technical content and ensure compliance for large or multiple projects.
- Manage project technical and production processes from pre-design through completion.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary work to align with design intent, budget, and schedule.
- Develop and oversee project documentation strategies and technical quality plans.
- Ensure building performance, sustainability, and code compliance are integrated into the design.
- Lead discipline coordination and monitor quality of modeling, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage construction administration activities, including RFIs and submittals.
- Guide and mentor project team members on technical standards and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
- Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
- Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects.
- At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
- Previous experience on large, complex projects.
- Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Demonstrated focus on quality.
- Must possess business acumen.
- Must have strong client leadership skills.
- Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
- Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
